Crafts
Made by hand
Painted ceramic plates, felt gnomes filled with fragrant lavender and other small pieces made in the studio alongside the paintings and wood work. Each one is made by hand and is one of a kind. If something catches your eye, get in touch.
Materials
Ceramic
Fired clay as a surface for painting: every plate is painted by hand, and every motif is made only once.
Felt
Densely pressed wool, soft yet firm, that holds its shape without hemmed edges.
Crochet lace
Edges and flowers crocheted by hand from cotton thread, a skill handed down through generations.
Lavender
Dried lavender flowers fill the gnomes, and their scent keeps wardrobes and linen fresh.
Copper
A warm, reddish metal that is easy to shape and hammer. Over time it darkens to a soft patina, or it can be polished back to a shine.
Bronze
An alloy of copper and tin, harder and more durable than copper. Golden brown, it has long been used for sculpture and objects made to last.
Istrian stone
The pale limestone of Istrian quarries, used for the Pula Arena, the palaces of Venice and countless dry-stone walls. Fine-grained and warm white, it carves and polishes beautifully.
